WORKING WITH CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES

The National Children’s Alliance (NCA) is hosting a webinar on this Thursday, April 20 focused on working with children with disabilities.

“On April 24, a new book from the Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) and National Children’s Alliance (NCA) will be published. Stay tuned for more details about that later this month. In the meantime, however, we have invited the authors of one of the chapters to lead the first webinar in our diversity, equity, and inclusion series. Join us on April 20 at 1:00 p.m. EDT to learn how practitioners and family members can work to prevent sexual violence against children with disabilities—and provide trauma-informed and culturally competent care for those children who have already experienced abuse.”

Sexual violence can happen to anyone. However, the likelihood of children with disabilities becoming victims is far greater than the general population. Learn how to better protect them. Register now online.
