VICTIM ADVOCATES AND MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIANS – PEER CONSULTATION FORUMS
Western Regional CAC is offering peer consultation forums for victim advocates and mental health clinicians.

Join us at our upcoming quarterly Victim Advocate and Mental Health Partnerships Peer Consultation Forum! These sessions provide a safe and supportive environment for victim advocates and mental health professionals collaborating closely to support children and families at children’s advocacy centers (CACs). Our forums are designed to strengthen these critical partnerships through informative presentations and discussions on topics relevant to both disciplines.
Please share this invitation with your victim advocate and mental health partners so they can benefit from this valuable opportunity. Together, we can amplify our collective impact in serving the lives of the children and families we support.

These resources, which include informational fact sheets, video interviews, screening tools, and conversation scripts, are designed for advocates and health professionals at Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) — from nurses to police officers to concerned parents. Our goal is to support these professionals and caregivers so they can better serve the families and victims of abuse. The resources combine the expertise of CAC professionals serving young victims of abuse with the knowledge and work of science-based researchers and academics at Culture Reframed. They include a focus on resources to help address the increasing incidence of child-on-child sexual abuse, specifically as it relates to pornography exposure. These standardized protocols to address pornography’s effect on child sexual abuse are designed to fill a resource gap and support CACs and others as they care for children experiencing abuse. This new and innovative approach to addressing child sexual abuse incorporates an understanding and response to the harms of pornography exposure.Participation is open to eligible victim advocates and clinicians throughout the U.S.Register NowA Zoom link to join the forum will be provided upon registration.
