NCA TRAINING:
Does your mental health representative have an equal voice on the MDT?
| Does your mental health representative have an equal voice on the MDT? |
| We all have an ideal for our multidisciplinary team (MDT) functioning: every professional with a stake in helping a kid get their childhood back showing up, sharing, and participating equally. Of course, we also work equally hard to strive toward that ideal, as it isn’t easy! One potential branch of low-hanging fruit: building up your mental health representatives on the MDT with specialized training to help unlock the power of their voice, only at Seamless 2025, the premier virtual conference for mental health professionals serving child victims of abuse, coming September 17-18. Our fourth annual Seamless lineup includes The Power of Your Voice: Thriving as a Clinician on the MDT with Kristina Coleman. Kristina serves as Vice President of Child Advocacy and Mental Health Programs at Safe Horizon in New York City, the nation’s largest CAC, with locations in each of the city’s five boroughs. Kristina is a rockstar clinical director with the expertise, presence, and teaching style to help any clinician, clinical director, or executive director shine on the MDT.Whether the MDT representative at your agency serves on-staff or through a linkage agreement, this knowledge and practice is critical to helping them advocate for the child’s mental health needs boldly and confidently. And, it’s just one of the nine great sessions where National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) members can earn 10 CEs in our two-day online course, and expect other accrediting bodies to confirm CEs soon. Early bird registration ends July 31 – members save $100! See the agenda and register now, discounted registration is available for NCA member CACs and any affiliated clinicians who serve their clients. |
