| The Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act (CVFSA) passed the House [recently], an important milestone for funding Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) and the broader victims’ services field. Now, all eyes turn to the Senate, and the weeks and months ahead will be critical. As we look toward spring advocacy efforts and begin planning for Hill Days later this summer, now is the perfect time to come together, get informed, and prepare to take action. We invite you to join NCA CEO Teresa Huizar and Senior Director of Government Affairs Denise Edwards, alongside our HB Strategies lobbyists, Stacy McBride and Joe Novotny, for our upcoming town hall on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 2 p.m. ET. Together, they will outline NCA’s federal advocacy strategy for the year ahead, discuss what’s needed to build a sustainable CAC movement, and share concrete ways you and your center can raise your voice when it matters most. In the meantime, if your representative was one of the 328 co-sponsors, please reach out and thank them for their support! Check here to see if they’re a H.R. 909 co-sponsor. On the Senate side, there are currently 16 co-sponsors for S. 1892. If your Senators haven’t signed on, now is the time to ask them to support CVFSA and ask them to let the bill sponsors know they support it! Check here to see if they’re a S. 1892 co-sponsor. |
