FORENSIC INTERVIEWING TRAINING FOR PSB
Here’s an announcement from the Program Manager of the PSB program:
We are excited to announce that NJCA’s PSB Program will host Linda Steele and Jimmy Widdifield from National Children’s Advocacy Center (NOCAC) for a 1-day virtual training: Interviewing Children with Problematic Sexual Behaviors on Tuesday, January 20th 9:00am-4:00pm EST. This training is recommended for forensic interviewers at any level who wish to increase their ability to obtain complete and reliable information from a child witness involved with PSB. NJCA is funding this training and we hope to have representation from all 21 counties.
Trainees are asked to attend a follow-up session on February 12th 9:00am-12:00pm via Zoom that will be open to all investigative MDT partners (LE, MDT Coordinators, FI, DCPP, Prosecution) as well (flyer in progress). Of note, this is not intended to be a new protocol training – it is a skills-course mostly that will support interviewers who are referred cases of problematic sexual behavior. Pete Boser, Director of New Jersey’s Finding Words Program, and I will be in attendance and look forward to seeing our state interviewers there as well!
Attached is the flyer and here is the registration link, for anyone who is interested: https://njcainc.coalitionmanager.org/eventmanager/trainingevent/details/117
Please share this information with the forensic interviewers in your respective counties. (Here’s a link to share: FORENSIC INTERVIEWING TRAINING FOR PSB – New Jersey Childrens Alliance, Inc. )
Thanks!
