Impact of the Pandemic on Working within a CAC
April 29 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
The pandemic of 2020-2021, has had a significant impact on businesses of all kind. This workshop will explore the norms that have been set out by federal and state officials for people and businesses alike, and the overall reaction to these recommendations.
CAC’s across the nation have had to scramble and develop safety protocols and take measures to reopen and serve youth.
It wouldn’t be hard to extrapolate that people within these organizations have had to deal with safety risks (employees contracting Covid, family members contacting Covid, Relatives succumbing to Covid, etc.) while attempting to serve abused children and their families. The creative measures employed with remote interviews via platforms like zoom and the safety measures taken within physical buildings have had an impact on all involved.
This workshop will take a look at the anxieties and struggles along with the strength and successes paving the way for a more in-depth group process of peer support as we take time to sit back and process the personal impact.
Team Pandemic First Aide is an offering that would provide ongoing support to CAC’s who may be experiencing what will be discussed in this workshop.
