Description: This training session will focus on addressing problematic sexual behaviors in adolescents. Adolescent problematic sexual behavior is serious but there is still hope in addressing these problematic sexual behaviors. This session will provide an overview of adolescent sexual development and will discuss risk and protective factors that may influence both healthy sexual development and harmful sexual behaviors in adolescents. Participants will learn how to distinguish typical, concerning, and problematic sexual behaviors in adolescents. Our speakers will also discuss essential elements of best practice and treatment of problematic sexual behaviors in adolescence and innovative approaches in community response and treatment.
