Wynona’s House, the Child Advocacy Center serving Essex County, is looking for a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Family Advocate!
This is an opportunity to work at NJ’s only fully co-located Child Advocacy Center, serving the children and families of NJ’s most populous city and the surrounding area.

Here’s the overview of the job description:
“The Family Advocate is the first point of contact for the non-offending caregiver and the alleged abused/neglect child. The Family Advocate is responsible for providing support to the non-offending caregivers in cases of alleged child abuse/neglect so that the caregiver can act to protect and support the alleged child victim. The Family Advocate will conduct a strength and need assessment of the family, and help the non-offending caregiver to access services the family may need. In addition, the Family Advocate will encourage the non-offending caregiver to participate in the investigation and prosecution processes, in medical and treatment services, and wrap-around support services. The Family Advocate will participate in the MDT and provide on-going support for the child and non-offending family members including but not limited to siblings, parents and other caregivers.
The Family Advocate will be responsible for a small team of Family Advocate Volunteers.”
